Hattiesburg-The City of Hattiesburg's efforts to transform the Mid-town District makes national news. The Mid-Town District is framed by three of the major economic engines for the region – the University of Southern Mississippi to the north and Forrest General Hospital and Hattiesburg Clinic to the south.
