Water Plant Shutdown
Hattiesburg-The City of Hattiesburg Water and Sewer Department will temporarily shut down Water Plant Two located on James Street on Thursday, Jan. 26 as part of the current Plant Rehabilitation contract. During this time there should be no loss of water to customers, according to officials.
Plant One will supply water to the lines which may cause slight discoloration as the water is redirected. The shutdown is expected to be brief with normal flow resumed the same day. Officials said a boil water notice will not be necessary as the water will be completely safe. Please stay tuned for more updates.
